Redesigned Website Menu Boosts Strategic Engagement

As part of The University of Toledo’s redesigned mobile-first website, we implemented mobile menus with a sticky menu focused on the main call to actions — visit, apply and give.

This fixed menu locks at the top of the utoledo.edu webpage as the visitor scrolls down the page giving clear calls to action. Since this shift, there has been a sharp rise in the click-through rate on the strategic links fixed in the top menu — a 96% increase in users clicking the apply button, and an 80% increase in selecting the visit button compared to the same July to September period last year. Additionally, there has been an 11% increase in organic Google traffic.
