Holiday Campaign Celebrates Giving Back, Spreading Joy

Who doesn’t love cookies during the holiday season? UToledo embraced the tradition for this year’s holiday campaign to highlight how the University spreads joy by giving back to community.

The printed card sent to higher education colleagues featured a photo of a Rocky offering a tray of Rocky cutout cookies with a tactile wrap meant to impart the feel of parchment paper used in baking with the message: Giving Back, Spreading Joy.

For external audiences, the holiday campaign highlighted how making a difference is baked into the UToledo mission with statistics such as the number of student volunteer hours and dollars raised for charities by students. The holiday email was read by more than 7,600 alumni and supporters of UToledo and nearly 3,000 higher education leaders.

For internal audiences, the UToledo campus was invited to join us in giving back with free Rocky cookies for the first 100 donations to Kate’s Closet on Main Campus and the new Student Food Pantry on Health Science Campus.
